What does crolle.ai collect, and why?

Three things, each for one purpose.

WHAT THE WEBSITE COLLECTS
WhatWhyWho processes it
Pages viewed, how you arrived, approximate country or city, device and browser typeTo learn which pages are useful and improve themGoogle Analytics (Google)
Standard request logs, such as IP address, time and the page requestedTo serve the site and keep it secureMicrosoft Azure, which hosts the site
Your email and its contents, if you write to usTo reply to youMicrosoft 365, our email provider

The free payment certificate calculator runs entirely in your browser. The figures you enter are not sent to us or stored.

Which cookies does the site use?

Only Google Analytics cookies, named _ga and _ga_QJTSRYJ651, which tell visits apart. They hold a random identifier, not your name or email.

Advertising storage is switched off for every visitor. If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, analytics cookies are switched off too, and Google Analytics measures visits without cookies.

How can I stop analytics?

Block cookies for crolle.ai in your browser, use a content blocker, or install Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The site works the same either way.

How long is data kept?

Google Analytics keeps event data for the retention period set in our property, at most fourteen months. Host logs are kept as Microsoft Azure retains them for operating the service. Emails are kept while the conversation is useful and deleted on request.

What are my rights?

You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to object to how we use it. Write to info@crolle.ai and we will answer within thirty days.

Does this cover the Crolle desktop application?

No. This policy covers the crolle.ai website. The desktop application keeps your work on your own computer; how it handles data is described on the trust page and will be set out in the terms you receive with it.

Common questions

Does Crolle sell or share my data for advertising?

No. Crolle does not sell or rent personal data, shows no advertising, and has switched off advertising storage in Google Analytics for every visitor. Data is shared only with the services that run the site and our email.

Does the site use cookies if I visit from Europe?

No analytics or advertising cookies are set for visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland. Google Analytics still counts the visit without cookies, so we see how many people read a page, not who they are.

Does the payment certificate calculator send my figures anywhere?

No. The calculator runs in your browser and makes no network requests with your figures. Nothing you type into it is sent to Crolle or stored, and it is gone when you close the page.

How do I ask Crolle to delete my data?

Email info@crolle.ai from the address you want removed, or describe the visit or message concerned. We will delete what we hold and confirm by reply within thirty days.
